Red/Hot & Pink/Spicy Mommies Night Out

I hosted a Mommies Night out for the Mommy group I'm in last night at Ajuua's Mexican Restaurant. We ate yummy Mexican food and if it wasn't for my dang ulcer I would of been drinking a couple of margaritas. I was really disappointed though that there were only three of us that came..me being one of them. I really wished that we had mommies from Midland come over (since I do try and come to all of their events) but such is life. I had spent time coming up with a few fun games and even bought li'l prizes for each of them. So I just ended up giving Traci and Mande the li'l gifts I bought which were a cute li'l notepad that was Zebra Print w/ Pen and Hot Pink bow (so cute) and then a Brag Book that you can put pictures in. We had a great time even though it was just the three of us. We chit chatted for four hours and even closed the place down and got to know one another very well. It was a great night and I'm glad to have made new friends!

Drawing Time

Zoee loves to draw..so any time she finds anything to draw with, she takes her opportunity. Isn't her hair cute?? Ever since I cute all her baby hair off..she barely has anything to put up..but now that it's growing and growing fast now that I did cut off her baby hair, we can start putting it up. It's adorable I think..And her hair is getting curlier in the back.

 

Family Visit

Yesterday my family came over to visit. PawPaw brought Ethan and Zoee some Cotton Candy for Valentine's Day and the kids played for a little bit. It was so cute because Zoee walked up and was holding her cousin's hand. They still haven't quite learned the art of sharing...especially Zoee trying to take away any of her toys that Ethan would pick up. And Ethan is a bit jealous when his Mommy holds Zoee..ha ha! It's so cute to watch them interact together.

 

 

ONE MONTH TO GO!

Wow! Can't believe Miss Z has one more month to go and she will be two years old!

Today she is 23 MONTHS OLD!!!

She is quite the handful already. I call her my li'l DIVA. For the past two days she has been throwing temper tantrums when she is tired or doesn't get her way. And they are doozies! Kicking and screaming..throwing herself on the ground..drooling all over the place. It was funny cause she tried throwing one tonight and I just copied the same thing she was doing and she just started giggling and quit throwing it. So hopefully it stays like that. She eats real well one week and then the next she doesn't. She still likes all types of foods. Her favorite things right now are Capri Sun and fruit snackies. She still won't give up on milk and I'm trying to wean her off drinking so much of it. She will stand in front of the fridge and beg and cry for it. She is sleeping in her toddler bed like a big girl (with all her small stuff animals and babies around her) I sneak in and grab them all and put them up before I go to bed except for one. She has been waking up this week at about 2-4 in the morning..and stays up for a while and then goes back to bed after her Daddy goes to work at 6. Not fun for Mama or Daddy. She comes to my room when she wakes up and will throw her stuffed animal or baby up on top of me. Sometimes it scares the crap out of me (our bed is really tall). She will then climb onto the bedside table and up onto the bed where we are at. She says and repeats all kinds of words..but isn't really talking in sentences quite yet. I have a feeling she is going to go from saying a few words to full sentences very soon. We are about to do the 3-day potty training class. It's suppose to work miracles ..so we will see how it goes. She's really loveable..loves to give kisses..blow kisses..and big hugs. I love her so much and can't believe I've been planning her 2nd birthday already. Everything is almost done and I'm already ready for another one!

Cambree's 1st Birthday Party

Zoee, Mike and I attended Cambree's 1st Birthday Party today. We had a lot of fun..especially Zoee. She played with balloons, snacked on some great food, ate some yummy cake, helped Cambree open her presents, and even got some rides around in Cambree's new wagon with her. We had a great time and man, does the time sure fly by...it feels like just yesterday that she was born. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Winter Storm

Stir crazy is what we are! This winter storm is nuts. We've been stuck in the house for several days now..and it's still snowing. The thing about it..we don't get a whole lot of snow at once..but just enough to make the roads nasty and hard to drive on around here. And people scare me enough with their regular driving..I couldn't imagine driving around in this, too. A ton of my friends in Midland and Odessa area today had power outages..some lasting up to a couple of hours..some just 15-20 mins. And then on top of that..pipes freezing. Thank God..so far ours hasn't done either. It's interesting around here having the temperature in the single digits like today it was 11 degrees..with a wind chill of -7..that's insane! As you can see in the pics..Zoee being stir crazy has led to the destruction of the living room, a round of indoor mini golf with her new clubs that her Daddy bought her, and a little bit of dabbling on the computer. She loves the computer, like her Mommy..LOL. It's snowing a lot tonight... So I guess we will continue to stay indoors and snuggle up together. I think we will try to make some brownies or cookies tomorrow and maybe do some fingerpainting..just to keep us occupied and have some fun!

 

Avid TV Enthusiast

I am totally an Avid TV Enthusiast. Zoee and I have been watching quite a bit of TV (her cartoons and my favorites) since we've been stuck indoors because of the cold weather.
I am loving Parenthood. I think one of the main reasons I love it so much is that I relate to almost all of the women's characters on here. I'm a little charismatic like Sarah..and was totally rebellious like Haddie and Amber are at 16. I'm down to earth like Kristina and a great mom in that aspect, like her. I'm a total planner/narcissist like Julia..and compassionate and free spirit like Jasmine. It's crazy how a movie can touch you like that..and resemble such character that you withhold within yourself. If you haven't seen it, it airs on NBC...Tuesdays @ 9 pm here...you need to start watching it..it's good!
The other Channel I really love is Bravo (I think I watch almost every show on it). I'm excited about the Housewives of New York are coming back on..and also Bethanny Frankel has a new show coming on. I love me some Bravo! I also am watching The Bachelor..which I can't really decide if I like him or not. I was skeptical about watching American Idol this season. I really like seasons past...and didn't think that I would like Jennifer Lopez..but surprisingly enough..I actually do. I like her better than Paula..actually! I think that Randy has kind of stepped into Simon's position (maybe not as mean yet)..and I adore Steven Tyler. He's so quirky and absolute Rock Star attitude just makes me smile. It seems like this season there are a whole lot of young singers..like 16 and so. I also love Tori and Dean Home Sweet Hollywood..which comes back on April 5th..so excited. I have many other shows..but couldn't possibly name them all. Thank goodness for DVR..ha ha!

I tuned into Extreme Makeover Home Edition last night to watch something truly inspirational. It is about the Brown family from Wellman, Texas. Alex Brown's story is a sad one, like most tragedy when a life is lost because a senseless act, but it's also a story of inspiration to others because her parents and sister are turning their tragedy into something really great. They are spreading the word about the dangers of texting while driving and hoping that teenagers and people alike will put down their phones and start paying attention to what's going on while driving. We pass through Wellman almost every time we go and see my inlaws. Mike and I had heard a great deal about the Brown family on the news and found out that Extreme Makeover Home Edition was building them a new home and helping them to spread the word to the rest of the United States about the dangers. The last time we were passing through, we went by to see their new house and there Alex's truck sat on top of the bed of the trailer they haul from school to school talking about the importance of texting while driving. Please watch this video and help with their cause if you feel the need to do so.
