Five random facts:

1. I have moved 11 times, lived in 4 different cities, since I was 18 years old and moved out of my parents house.

2. I have a tattoo..which I got when I was 18 years old..and I still love it to this day. I'm fascinated with body art..but don't see myself getting anymore.

3. I have been in 2 major rollover wrecks. The first wreck flipping 5 times. The second wreck flipping 4 times and have a disorder now called post traumatic stress syndrome because of it. I freak out when I'm not behind the wheel of the vehicle in control of the car.

4. I have a pillowcase that I have had for 18 years...it has Minnie Mouse on it and get razzed all the time about throwing it away cause it has a huge hole in it and has little balls on it. I sleep with it and carry it with me when I go on trips. LOL

5. Mike and I tried for 4 years to have a baby..and our blessing finally happened! So all things are possible through Christ that strengthens us!

Five Things I wish I could Do:

1. Speak Spanish fluently.

2. Have enough money to get a massage twice a month and pedicures every two weeks.

3. Be able to travel to all the places I've always wanted to go. Be able to take Mike to see his favorite football team (Oakland Raiders) to a game at the Black Hole.

4. Be more humble and worry less of what others think of me.

5. Be a backup singer for a major recording artist.

Five Pet Peeves:

1. Earwax...totally grossed out by it. I can deal with poop, drool, blood, whatever else..but cannot stand earwax. I hate looking over at someone and talking to them and them looking forward and you see a big ball of wax hiding in their ear..UGHH!! Grosses me out!

2. Favoritism and People that intentionally hurt others feelings.

3. When I invite someone to a gathering, party, or event, and they don't RSVP..nobody seems to do this anymore.

4. When people don't do what they say they are going to do.

5. Being hot and then getting sweaty

Five things I would never change about my life:

1. Getting saved and being thankful for prayer and having the Lord in my life.

2. Having such a good family..even though we have our problems within sometimes...they are a great support system and I know they love me no matter what.

3. Marrying my soulmate. He's the most awesome husband, father, and best friend.

4. Having such a wonderful healthy and happy baby girl.

5. Having great friends.

Cabin Fever

One of the repercussions to being a stay-at-home mom is that you actually have to stay at home the majority of the time. LOL I actually love getting to stay at home for the mere aspect of getting to spend all my time with Zoee..watching her grow and not missing a beat...but then there is the dreaded anti-socialization that comes with staying at home, also. I have what you would call a major case of CABIN FEVER!! I have been in the house for over a week now..except for Monday, in which I went straight to the doctor and then straight home. I understand that we've been sickly and that accrues for some of the week..but I'm going nuts! I guess what made me think of this..was last night, Mike came in for lunch at midnight and I guess I had a crazy look on my face..which he chuckled and asked.."Are you okay?" I said..no, I'm a bit delusional, I believe and the walls are closing in! I need to get out of this house. I haven't seen Mom and Dad for two weeks..since we've been sick. And Mike's parents haven't visited us in three months. Three months??? How they can stay away that long is beyond me..but I guess they are the ones that are missing out on Zoee growing up so fast. Hurts my feelings..but you can't make people come to visit you..and with Mike's work schedule..he's only off on Sundays..and that makes it hard. So needless to say, this has been the longest week in history and I have not wanted a weekend to be here so quickly I think EVER! We have a lot going on this weekend. Tomorrow (Friday) I'm going to go and do a little shopping for Jillery's baby shower around Odessa...get some of the things we need and I also have to do the dreaded grocery shopping. We try to get enough groceries for two weeks...which means an hour or so in the store. And if we go to Wal-Mart..forget about it..we're in there longer! HA HA! Saturday are big plans with my family. Mom and I are going to do some more shopping for Jillery's baby shower over in Midland..and then my Uncle Rob is visiting from England. He's such an interesting man to talk to ..cause he's traveled the world..and he has that Irish brogue, which is quite heavy. We're going to go to dinner with him and catch up on life. Then on Sunday, Mike, Zoee, and I will be attending lil' Carlie's 1st birthday (Erica's daughter). We will be heading to Big Spring. Haven't been there in forever! It is Halloween themed party and Zoee will get to test drive her Halloween costume, which happens to be a surprise..but be looking out for pictures that will get posted soon. I cannot wait to have some fun this weekend and get out and about and actually socialize with people...ha ha! I miss it so much!

Seven Months Old and they finally have arrived!

Wahoo! Today Zoee turned 7 months old..and we have BIG NEWS!!!

Well they have finally arrived...

After months and months of anticipation..Zoee has two bottom front teeth.

HUGE MILESTONE!!! She reached for my finger this morning to put into her mouth...it was like she was trying to tell me: "Look Mom, they are finally in there!" HA HA! I guess she's been sickly over this past week, I haven't even been focused on what's going on in her mouth..so I was really surprised this morning..and so happy for her. Can't believe my lil' girl is growing up. She's only been teething since she was 2 months old..LOL So we thought those lil' suckers were never going to break through. But we're so happy!

Cold/Flu Season is here...and we're not happy about it!

Still teething while sick..but nothing has broke through yet

Well, Zoee survived almost 7 months without becoming sick. I'm so glad that she has been healthy up to this point. Mike and I had her 6-month well visit scheduled for today and it just so happens she started getting a runny nose and started sneezing last night. So our well visit turned into a semi-sick visit, as well. We have officially changed pediatricians...which I didn't care for my pediatrician in Midland to begin with..and had a great experience today with our new one. She is a woman doctor (which I was hoping to get) and she is definitely more compassionate than my last one.

Zoee's 6-month measurements are as follows:

16 lbs. 5 oz. in weight=she's in the 50th percentile

26 inches long in height=shes' in the 75th percentile

She is still a smaller baby than most..but the doc said she is maintaining a great weight and height for her age. I asked her about the hemangioma she has on her buttox and she said it's going to get bigger than go away eventually..but it looks good for being there where it's at. She wasn't running any fever, but still had a runny nose and slight cough. It was definitely a cold. And she had to get her 6-month shots on top of all that..POOR BABY!

All in all, she did really well..I would of freaked out if I had to get 5 shots ..this was including half of the flu vaccination and then I have to take her back in a month and get the rest of it. She really doesn't fuss over her shots..she let out two big squeals..and then whimpered a little..and then she was smiling before we left the office. She's such a trooper. I think it hurts me seeing them do that to her..than it does to receive them..even though..I'm sure the shock of it is astounding to a lil' baby.

The doc said we could start her on juice..which is awesome..cause she loves fruit..so I know she's going to love it. She told me all the developmental things I should be doing with her. She said she could listen to the TV, but no sitting her in front of it. I thought that was funny that she said that, but when I told that to Mom, she said maybe it's because some parents use the TV as a babysitter. I told her all what Zoee had been doing over the past few weeks and she said she's really advanced for her age and she's doing great. That gave me some peace of mind. Now, if she can just get over this cold and not get anything worse throughout this cold/flu season. Sanitation has been my middle name for the past few days.

I've been spraying and using anti-bacterial everything.

Seeing is Believing...

Seeing is definitely believing..so here are some pics of Zoee standing up by herself and she gets faster and faster at it every time. She's wanting to stand up all over the place. She's a moving and grooving already..I can't believe it!

In honor of Mike's birthday in a few weeks, I'm throwing him a little get together. It's going to be football themed (his favorite team is the Oakland Raiders). I made Zoee a lil' tutu last night so she can wear on that day of the party..along with a lil' onesie that has "Lil' Raiderette" on it..it's too cute. I'll post a pic of it. I'm also in the works of a tutu for her to wear this weekend to the Crane homecoming game with a cute lil' Crane shirt to wear with it.

O-M-Goodness!

For the past week and half, Zoee's been getting up on her knees in her crib...trying to lift herself up..so I thought to myself..well, I guess it's time to lower the crib mattress down. But, of course, my procrastinating self these days (especially more since I've had Zoee) has not lowered the crib. I guess I was thinking that it will be at least a while before she figures out how to completely stand up on her own. WRONG!!!

As I was laying Zoee down to sleep tonight in her crib...I turned around to get her a blanket. As soon as I turned back around, she grabbed on to the front of the crib..and lifted herself to her feet. I stood there in shock, as she looked up at me with the biggest grin ever and giggled. I could not believe my lil' six month old was already lifting herself up!! TOTAL SHOCK-A-ROO for me!!

I didn't know whether to be happy and excited for her...or to be scared to death. The first thing that came to mind..was...is this the first time this has happened? Or is this the first time I've seen it happen?? Needless to say, her crib is getting lowered ASAP.

I called Mom and told her what she did..and she couldn't believe it either. She's going to be walking before I know it..and I'm going to be on the move. I need her to slow down so I can enjoy her being a baby a little bit longer. Man, do they grow up fast...people use to tell me all the time to not blink because I would miss something. I'm so fortunate to be able to stay home with her so I don't miss these things. It's amazing seeing your lil' baby girl learn new skills. And she is so hilarious, she cracks me up because she is so expressive and has started talking baby talk. I love her so much and I love Mike for giving me such a wonderful lil' girl and I thank God every day for such the blessing he has given us both for Zoee to be healthy and happy!!

I Love the Holidays!

I just love fall. I don't know if it's because of the changing of the weather, beautiful colors, or it's a sneak peak into a long array of holidays to come. This year the holidays are going to be so different for us. I can't wait for Zoee to enjoy her first Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. We also have a new addition that is going to be added to our family before Christmas and Mike, Zoee, and I can't wait for Ethan to be here.

We get our new furniture on the 29th..we've been waiting a while for it to be finished..and can't wait for it to arrive. Now, I just need a dining room table to be complete. We get rid of ours in our last move because we didn't have enough room for it.

I have Mike's birthday coming up, Mom's birthday, Halloween, Jillery's baby shower (which I'm in charge of), Dad's birthday, Thanksgiving, Ethan's arrival, Christmas, Tyler's birthday, and then New Years! Not to mention all the parties and events that go on in between there. WOW...didn't actually realize how busy I was going to be until I wrote it all out. I love it all though..the hustle and bustle of everything seasonal! Hobby Lobby just loves me! I have to go and get my many totes out of storage to be able to decorate..Mike gets real excited about it all..let me tell ya! HA HA! On top of that...I've got to finish up getting my house in order..there is probably a week's worth of work I have to do around here. Fun Fun! I'm so ready to rock it all out though...and I'm very excited!
