Getting into the Halloween Spirit

We had PawPaw & Grammy over for dinner tonight to celebrate Mike's official 40th birthday. They love to visit and spend time with Zoee. Here are a few of those memorable moments. Mike is putting up decorations on our porch for Halloween and Zoee's helping.Posted by Picasa

Baldy No More!

Zoee has always relatively been a baldy. But recently she has been getting a lot of hair
(which I absolutely love) because I can put it up now in ponytails..pigtails..barrettes, headbands, and bows, of course. I need to start making some more bows. I have a ton of ribbon and need to get after it.

Real Men Barbeque

Mike was BBQing for his birthday on what I like to call the "BEAST" of a grill. He actually made this grill himself. The pictures don't do it justice on the size of this thing. He made an excellent brisket that Dad bought for him to grill for his birthday. This thing was HUGE and oh so yummy

Man, that's a HUGE SLAB of meat you have!
FUNNY HUH!

Where has the time gone?

This is Zoee from birth to 18 months
The time has flown and she has changed so much

HAPPY HOMEMAKER MONDAY

I love that it's Happy Homemaker Monday. Now that I'm a SAHM I get to enjoy all the moments of Zoee's life. I have to say..some days are very trying..but it's well worth it! This week Mike has taught her to put her finger to her mouth and say "SHHH!!" I told him..you are going to regret this..but since he's not home with her all day..I'm regretting it..HA HA I love that she is so incredibly smart. And she has such a great personality too boot! Happy Homemaker Monday to all you moms out there...this day is for you! SMILE

FALL QUESTIONAIRE

1. Do you like Starbucks?
Yes, I love Starbucks..but rarely go. Peppermint Mocha Frappicinos are my favorite!

2. How do you decorate and prepare for fall?
OMGosh...Decorating is my favorite thing to do. I love everything Fall and decorate my house with leaves, pumpkins, scarecrows, and love to burn the pumpkin and spice candles.

3. What is your favorite fall clothing item and or accessory?
I love to wear anything comfy and warm. I especially love my boots.

4. What was your favorite Halloween costume as a kid?
I loved when my mom dressed me as Strawberry Shortcake. I had everything from the green striped tights to the big ol' hat. Strawberry Shortcake has changed quite a bit and I still love the ol' school S.S.

5. Do you like Halloween/horror movies?
Not particularly. I not a big fan of gory movies...but I do like scary. Mike loves them..so I'm sure I will be watching quite a few this Halloween season.

6. What is your favorite fall activity?
I love going to the Fair. I especially had fun this year since I had a baby girl who was old enough to appreciate all it has to offer. I'm sure every year will get better and better. I really love going to the pumpkin patch and corn maze we have here close to us. It's a lot of fun!

7. What is your favorite fall recipe?
A big fat pumpkin roll..I love love love pumpkin flavor...so anything pumpkin!

8. What TV show are you most excited about this fall?
Oh Gosh..this is a hard one. I love a lot of them. And since the time of DVR..I get to enjoy them a lot more. Modern Family, Cougar Town is back on..LOVE IT! And Survivor, Amazing Race, Biggest Loser, and anything reality is my fav.

9. When do you start Christmas shopping?
Mike and I have bought a few gifts for Zoee already..but we usually try to buy early..but it rarely happens. So we late shoppers.

10. What movie coming out soon are you most excited about??
I am excited about seeing the newest Twilight..haven't seen it yet. I always have to wait til things come out on pay-per-view or Redbox...cause we don't go to the movies anymore. LOL

Beginning of Fall with Family

This is a pic of me when I was a little older than Zoee.
Can you see the resemblance?

We were both wearing PawPaw's hat.

We spent the weekend with Jillery and Ethan. My parents came over on Saturday to visit. We had a great time catching up and letting Zoee and Ethan play together.
Ethan was chewing on Lola's dog bone..funny!

I had opened up the fridge to get some milk out for Zoee and turned back around and this is what I saw. It's crazy how they are both old enough now to get into the fridge.
Zoee likes to put things in the fridge that don't belong why I'm not looking. Today I found the cordless phone in there.

Ethan was sticking his tongue out at Lola..too cute!

Ethan's 1st Haircut...He has so much hair...I haven't even given Zoee her first cut, yet..LOL

This is the cake I made him..with homemade icing..but this also shows why I'm not in the cake decorating business...it's hideous, but oh, so yummy!

Fall and Family Photos

Fall is one of my favorite times of year. I love watching everything change, I love that it's football season, colder weather, Halloween, Thankgiving, the different Fairs, fall food, colors, and my all time smell is spice cake or pumpkin candles. I love to decorate my house and cook popcorn balls, pumpkin rolls, and candy apples! YUM! This year we will be going to the St. Ann's Fair and Fiddlestick Farm. We are hoping to pick out some great pumpkins from the pumpkin patch and we'll even do some carving right before Halloween!

Here are some great family pictures because I wanted to show memories of Zoee at 18 months of age. We are so blessed!

Zoee loves Lola

My pride and joy

I can't believe we've been married 6 1/2 years. Time seems to be just flying by us. I still love him just as much as I did back then...actually I love him more. He's given us a great life and given me a chance to be a great mother to a sweet, loving lil' girl!

Rooting for Daddy's Favorite Team

As most of you already know, Mike's favorite NFL football team is the Oakland Raiders

(even though the Houston Texans runs a close 2nd)

He loves everything Raiders and has since he was a young boy.

Apparently their team used to be really good back then and some of the greats have played for the team.

Mike is such a big fan and it's a major part of his life so I wanted to pay tribute to his everlasting love of the sport and his favorite team. So I had made a tutu for Zoee a long time ago and she's actually never worn it. I dressed her in it for a our photo shoot so she could take pics with her Daddy dressed in his favorite team gear. I love these pics...it shows how much they love each other and Mike is such a wonderful father..I love him so much!
