15 months old


She needs a lil' milk while checking her emails on her laptop..LOL

Grammy gave her a new purse that holds her new puppy. She loves it!

Mike is telling her that he wanted a sip and that she didn't need to drink from a bottle anymore that she is a big girl now.

Our living room looks like a daycare..ha ha!

She loves to flip her chair over..stand on it and picks it back up again.

Mike was telling her not to mess with something on the table..and she was pretending not to listen...LOL

She loves her new puppy...and was talking to it the other day.

It's going by faster and faster..but Zoee is 15 months old today. She is one amazing lil' girl. She is exceeding on milestones for her age, talking a lot now, and running around and getting into things like crazy. This month she has said a lot more words, too many to name here. She loves to mock anybody in the room. Her favorite thing to do (as far as mocking is concerned) is anytime she hears a telephone or sees someone talking on the phone..she puts whatever she has in her hand and if nothing..puts her own hand up to ear and says, "Hello" and proceeds to carry on a conversation. It's too funny! She is starting to sit on her potty now (beginning the potty training journey). She doesn't quite understand it all yet...but she likes to sit on it...pretend she's doing her business and then stands up and flushes it. She loves taking a bath still and is going to bed between 9-10 pm and gets up around 8:30 am. She still takes 2 naps a day..usually one late morning and one in the afternoon. She loves playing with her toys. She has been getting up on her Bounce and Spin Zebra. She has a stroller for her babies, which she tries to crawl up into...ha ha. She loves her new table and chairs..and loves books, puzzles, and anything electronic. Mike took one of old cell phones that she likes to carry around.

She has grown a huge appetite this month. She eats really well. Still loves most all vegetables and fruits. She loves pasta and fries and of course her lil' Gerber snackies. She is learning to eat with a spoon/fork. So funny to watch her pick up corn and peas with her spoon. She's really really good at it for just beginning. She loves to drink juice and water out of her sippy cup but refuses to drink her milk out of it. This is all about to change because I'm about to do away with the bottle. I wanted to get rid of it at a year...but it never happened. So I think 15 months is a great time to do it. I think she will do great once she realizes they are gone for good. She still loves going to her babysitter's house and plays with her playmate Ethan there all day long. I think they are teaching each other. She loves her church friends (once she gets in the door). She had been throwing a fit sometimes when I leave her...but it's usually when she is teething..speaking of. She is cutting both the rest of her front teeth AND her gums where her molars are coming in are really swollen..poor baby! I will be so happy when they finally all come in and she is not in pain anymore. Zoee is excellent in the stores (grocery, Walmart, department, etc.) unless she is sleepy or hot. But for the most, she acts so good..she waves and smiles at people and is very friendly. She still loves to play outside and on her swingset. We are going to get her a lil' pool today so her and I can get in and splash around. She's going to love it..I know it. I promise to take more pics and post them soon. I've been kind of slacking. It's just so hard to snap a good pic because she's been so busy and active. But I love her so much and when she cries for me or wants me to pick her up..especially now that I don't see her as much as I used to because I'm working...it makes me feel so good inside that I have this lil' precious girl who knows "I" am her mommy and that loving her unconditionally comes so naturally to me is just the most awesome feeling in the world. I had hesitations once long before I had her that I would be a great mom..and now I know I'm a great mom because I see how happy she is and I see how loving and protective Mike is to her and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Each day gets more and more exciting...watching her grow and learn. It amazes me how young minds are like a huge sponge..absorbing everything around them. I thank God every day that Mike and I have been so blessed with such a sweet beautiful healthy girl along with great family and friends.

Orthopedic Doc and Zoee's "Special Shoes"

Getting ready to head out the door to go see the doctor..isn't she adorable with her flower in her hair, which by the way is getting longer...finally! It's so hard to snap a great picture of her at this age..she's constantly moving around.

See how her leg is bent...this is a NO NO..and I didn't even realize that she does it so much.

We went to see an orthopedic specialist on June 3rd because Zoee's feet are still turning in significantly. Dr. Cochran diagnosed her with what is called internal tibal torsion and metatarsus adductus. Laments terms: the bones from her ankles to knees on both sides are twisted inwards and also her hips are twisted inwards. He told us she would have to wear "special shoes" maybe until she is five years of age..depending on how fast her bones correct. He said they will never completely correct themselves...but he said he was glad we came to see him because if we didn't get some kind of treatment she would always "walk like John Wayne". She is not allowed to play on the floor anymore with her toys because she always sits with either one leg behind her or both..and this worsens the condition. So he suggested that we get a small table and chair set for her to sit at while playing. Of course, we had to get two (one for our house and one for the babysitter's house). It's going to be a challenge to get her to sit at a table seeing how she is so active..but whatever will help I'm all for working on it. Mom and I journeyed to Toys R Us and got two tables. The one at our house she absolutely loves, which I'm so thankful for. She loves sitting at it so far. I'm hoping it remains this way.

We also had to go and get her fitted for her "special shoes". They are a pair of New Balance tennis shoes. But, they are having to make a wedge that is glued onto the outside of shoe and she has to wear an arch on the inside that makes her foot stablized. Her tennis shoes are really cute. They are silver, black, and white and have a little pink on them. I will post a pic as soon as they finish making them. They are quite pricey...(especially because children's feet grow so quickly) but I think my insurance is going to help out a lot ..so that's always a blessing.

Mother's Day 2010

This is actually my 2nd Mother's Day...Zoee was only 2 months old last year and now she's 14 months old. So crazy how time just flies right on by...guess it's like the ol' saying goes, "Time flies when you are having fun!" We went this year to Klondike on Mother's Day to see my nephew, Ethan, get dedicated to the church. Spent a lovely time over at Jillery's after church and Tyler took some snapshots of Zoee and I playing around in the yard.

She's practically running now...and I love playing chase with her. She's so funny and giggles the whole time.

We got to see Sebrena...isn't she beautiful? We took her out to eat for her birthday coming up and gave her presents. We had a great time visiting.

Eat your Peas, Please!

Zoee is 14 months old now and growing so big! She loves vegetables and fruits and I'm so happy about that. She especially loves peas. I think because they have kind of a sweet flavor to them. She loves to smash them and is real messy while eating them sometimes. Here is a great example!

It amazes me the things Zoee knows already. Her mind is like a sponge and absorbs everything that is said and done around her. We have to watch what we say already because she is already starting to repeat things that are said. This last week we had to go to a new babysitter because our regular babysitter (Mollie) went out of a town for the week to see her Mom for Mother's Day. Zoee did good at Mariel's house. Mariel has two kiddos of her own and she had a lot of fun playing. I'm so glad that she is learning to share and it shows here at home, too. Zoee is so sweet. She held up her babydoll to her chest the other day and started rocking it back and forth. Lil' expressions of love like this just warm my heart. I love just looking at Zoee and watching her grow..makes me feel so humbly blessed that I could have a daughter and it's even more miraculous to me how much she acts and looks like the both of us. She has been holding up the remote still like it's the telephone..she holds her hand up there, too and likes to mock people when she sees them talking on the phone. I think she is actually teething again because she was running a little fever last night and this morning. So I don't know what is going to pop up next.

Life this week and Kaylee & Hydee's 3rd B-day!

Zoee is going to be 14 months old on May 6th..in a few days. She is getting so big! She is the cutest lil' thing ever. People are starting to tell me that she is looking more and more like me now. She was looking more like Mike. Zoee cracks Mike and I up every day. I miss her so much now that I've gone back to work...but glad that I have "ME" or "WORK" time..because it makes me enjoy our moments we do have together a lot more. Spring is in the air and we've been playing outside a lot more. Zoee plays hard at the babysitter's house and her and lil' Ethan (the boy she stays at the babysitter's house with) are doing great together. They have warmed up to each other..and he actually tries to come up and hold her hand..but she wants nothing to do with it. LOL I'm glad that Zoee is getting this time together with other kids at the babysitter's house, church, and at friend's houses to learn to share since she is the only little one we have. She's learning so many things. Her new words this week is "OH, BAH!" She is actually trying to say "Oh, Boy!" but it comes out as, "OH, BAH!" right now...it's really adorable because she makes this face when she says it. Last week it was "NO". I guess because she is used to us telling her NO so much..she started repeating it. It's usually something different every week. She loves to turn the TV off and on at our house..and turns around when she does turn it off and just looks at us like...YEA, I TURNED IT OFF..NOW WHAT?? HA HA. I tell her to turn it back on ..and she says "NO" then goes back over and turns it on a little bit later and goes about her business. She's been talking into the remote control like you would the telephone..so she understands a little of the concept of the phone..just wrong instrument..HA HA She loves loves loves music and dances around all the time. In fact, Mollie (the babysitter) asked me the other day if she dances a lot at home. She had rented Happy Feet for the kiddos and as they were watching it..Zoee danced the whole time. She loves to move and groove. She is in awe of Baby Einstein...I don't care what they say about it slowing their development over time..she loves it and seems to be learning new things from it. She actually has a "BIG" appetite and has ate a lot this week. I guess she is making up for last week..she didn't eat very much because she was teething. She is still getting into anything and everything..loves to talk to Posh our kitty. Loves her baby dolls..carries them around and loves on them. Zoee's kisses that she gives are more like French kisses..she loves to use her tongue..HA HA She loves going to church and they actually do little bible lessons every week. This week was about Joseph and she colored a little picture for us and then they read bible stories and learn each week about one of God's animals..this week was a Goldfish. I'm really impressed with our new church and have the greatest time. Mike and I have been learning so much for the message from Pastor Don...and I haven't felt this good in a long time, spiritually. It's actually a non-denominational church...it's similar to the way I was raised..just more modern..but totally different for Mike. I'm glad he's liking it, too. I love love love our music worship and hoping to be up on stage soon singing alongside the ladies and men.
