My New Kicks

Daddy bought me new kicks for my birthday and I LOVE "EM!
They are actually honoring Breast Cancer Awareness tennis shoes. 10% of the proceeds went to the Susan B. Komen for Breast Cancer Research..so I picked them out partly because I love Hot Pink and Black..and then also to support the cause. I was figuring it up and I haven't had a new pair of tennis shoes in about 4 years..that is just crazy business!

Progressive Park with Haelynn

We hung out with Katelyn and Haelynn today before heading to Hobby Lobby to pick up some ribbon for bows. The kids had a great time..and Mike and I snapped some great shots of the both of them. Enjoy!

Miss Personality

Zoee cracks me up every day..whether it's something goofy she is doing..or saying. She has such a HUGE personality and I love her so much!

Zoee's Awesome Assessories

Well, I thought Zoee's earring holes had closed up so she hasn't worn earrings in months. To my surprise, I found a cute pair of her old earrings the other day and Zoee said, "Mom, put earrings on, pweese?" I decided to try them again and low and behold, they went right in. I was excited and so was she. So she wanted me to take a picture with her earrings in again. HA HA! She doesn't want to sleep in them, so I have to take them out every night now, but at least she can wear them, YEA!

Zoee's Ready for Fall

I guess Zoee is ready for Fall just as much as I am. She insisted on putting her footie P.J.'s the other day. She only wore them for about 20 minutes because, of course, it's been in the 100's this week. She loves them and is definitely ready for colder weather.

God's Beautiful Creation

I love God's beautiful creations. I snapped a shot of this beauty on the way to Midland the other day. What a magnificent sight!! Just reassurance that God is so wonderful!

29 Months Old

Zoee is 29 Months old! WOW!!!
It's amazing how fast it is going. She has been so loving and affectionate to her Mommy & Daddy this month. Mike and I are having bad baby fever. We want another baby just like Zoee. We want Zoee to have someone to grow up with. I couldn't imagine not growing up with my sister...so we pray for that for her. We are officially trying now. So that is exciting.

Zoee is 35 lbs. and is 38 1/4 inches tall. She is extremely tall for her age and has always been in the 99% for her age group. She is talking a lot and repeats a lot of everything we say. She understands and we do have our good and bad days with her. Some days she doesn't want to mind and listen...just like a toddler. We've enjoyed our summer...but have hardly gotten to be outside much these days cause it is sooo hot. We are all ready for Fall to be here and the holidays. I've already been looking at Fall clothing for Zoee..cause she is going to need a whole new wardrobe. Nothing fits much anymore..she is growing so fast. And we are also thinking about Christmas presents already..getting ready to start buying those and getting them out of the way. I am so thankful that we have my Mom and Dad here every week to be apart of Zoee's life. I wish we could say that for Mike's family. I have prayed and prayed that they would want to be a part of her life...but they show no interest. Zoee doesn't know them..and it's sad really cause they are missing out on so much because Zoee adds such joy to our lives and is so lively, fun, loving, and hilarious! I just keep thinking about what I'm going to say to her the older she gets when she starts questioning why they don't want to know her. But on a positive note--I'm glad that Zoee is growing up healthy and is a bouncing happy toddler!

Zoee's Doctor Visit

Zoee went to see the doctor last Monday and we found out she had an upper respiratory infection. She actually did really great at the doctor. The past few times (which she hasn't gone very often) has been a total train wreck. This time went smoothly as far as Zoee's attitude toward her pediatrician. In my mind, I'm a little iffy about my pediatrician now. She told me that Zoee is fat. She weighs 35 lbs. and is 38 1/4 inches tall. I was taken aback by her comment. I mean, Zoee is looking a little bit chunky (which she never has before until about 2 weeks ago) but by no means do I think she is fat. I think she is going through a growth spurt and that's why she is looking a little bit chunkier. She doesn't want her to lose any weight, but she also doesn't want her to gain anymore weight for two years. Am I insane to think this is odd??? So because of her opinions, I am on the search for a new pediatrician. After talking to some of my mommy friends, I have heard that my pediatrician dwells on weight. Also, when we were walking out of the room, Zoee took off down the hallway. Well, she said..bring her back and let me see her walk again. So I told Zoee to come back and she said..her feet do not look right. Well, DUH! I told her she is the one that sent us to see a specialist in Midland. She asked me if she was to wear special shoes. I told her she wore those for a year..and I wanted a second opinion so we took her to Tx Scottish Rite in Dallas. She asked what they said..I told her and she said..oh no, she needs to be wearing corrective shoes or something to correct that. This is after I've been through the whole mumbo jumbo of Scottish Rite saying that it's in her hips and there is nothing that we need to do..that she will grow out of it. Who do I believe?? Confusing much, right?? I am going to go ahead and go by what the specialists at TSRH have told me because I have more faith in what they know because they deal with cases like Zoee's every day. So I hope that we are doing the right thing...prayers please that we are.

What a start to August...

Poor Zoee had to go to the doctor this morning because she has an upper respiratory/bronchial infection. She sounds and looked horrible last night...so I took her in. She weighs 35 lbs. and is 38 1/4 tall. Please pray that she gets better...cause she is miserable.
