New Wheels

Well, Ol' Red bit the dust. She was a great and trusty car to us for many many years.  I was sad to see her go cause she was paid off and Mike mainly drove her back and forth to work.  But we sent her to the mechanic and he said that she needed a new engine :(  Sad day considering it was going to be cost about $3,500.00 for us to get a new one with labor.  So we have to figure out what to do with it.  

We had been searching for vehicles for a while cause we knew she was about to bite it.  So we found a new one on Monday.  We got a Cadillac DTS.  It's a sedan.  I wanted something big enough to hold our luggage, Zoee, and plenty of room for all three of us to ride in case we travel long distances in it.  It's a cheap payment and has all the luxury amenities.  My body will be warm in the winter and cool in the summer.  The steering wheel even heats up in the winter.  I can start it while I'm indoors.  It's a lot of car..but gets up and goes and great on gas and the ride is extremely smooth.  I figured we'll keep it for a while and trade off van when we this paid for.  It's a never-ending vicious cycle.  HA  

New Family Member

We have a new family member who we named Coco "Loco" Arguello!

She has brought us great joy thus far.  We've had her a little over a month.  She's already getting big and starting to look less like a puppy..it's crazy how fast they grow, too!

Zoee nicknamed her Coco Loco or she calls her Puppy Luppy..HA HA  So silly and just like her Mamasita about giving people and things nicknames.  I do it all the time!  For instance, Zoee is "Zoee bug".."Miss Z"(from her Papaw..he nicknamed her this before she was even born!), "Z", and just plain "Bug".

Mike brought Coco home from a girl who helps in her Pre-K class room.  Coco is really smart.  She is half Rottweiler and half German Shepard.  She minds really well.  She plays hard and sleep hard..HA  And eats a lot.  She's gonna be a big dog..but I'm hoping she protects us with Mike being away at times I'll feel safer.  We are kennel training her..she already knows that it is her bed and she is pretty much spoiled rotten like Zoee is and has been.  She's a chewer..but she hasn't chewed up anything thus far..just likes to play.  She has a Kong binky and a couple of Zoee's old stuffed animals that she likes to play with.  She's getting the potty training thing down and will soon be ready to take on walks.  Zoee can't wait.  I'm sure by this time next year she'll be riding her around the house.  Meet Coco!

Swimming with Ethan

Zoee went to stay with her Grammy and PaPaw this past weekend and they went swimming while there at a pool that Jillery and Tyler are renting out.  Zoee has never really put her head under water in the pool very much.  To my surprise, she was dunking, jumping off the side, and going down the slide.  Of course, it had to be when I wasn't there.  She was doing it in the bath tub but not pool, so I'm glad that she she is no longer afraid and getting more and more brave in the water.  Zoee loves staying with her Grammy & Papaw..they spoil her so much and she loves every minute of it.  Ethan got to stay with her over there all weekend.  He threw the biggest fit to stay Saturday night, as well.  So Zoee told Grammy, you might as well let him stay.  HA  So she let him.  He loves his Zoee and she loves him! :)

Cow Appreciation Day @ Chick-fil-A

 Today was Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-A.  If you dressed up as cows, you got a free meal.  We had a really great time dressing up, eating, chatting, and the kids played in the play area.  Here are a few pics of how our day was.  Zoee makes such a cute cow! :)

Wild Things Zoofari

 We attended a Zoofari at our local library today.  It was awesome getting to see new animals in person.  They came from all over like places such as Madagascar.

 All of the animals were her personal pets.

Weekly Randoms

 We were at Sam's Club and Zoee found a box and said.."Look Momma, It's my ship. I'm going to sail down the aisles."  This is why I was told today by her teacher that she is VERY ANIMATED! :)

We went bowling today with Saralyn and her cousins.  We are loving Kids Bowl Free all Summer!

Dad & Zoee Go Camping

 Mike took Zoee camping in our backyard.  It was a clear and beautiful night.  He set up the telescope so they could gaze a the stars.  They had a lot of fun and she even fell asleep in the tent.  He's such a wonderful Daddy.

4th of July Parade & Zoee's First Time Bowling

 We went bowling on the 4th with Jillery, Ethan, and Lillian.  It was so much fun seeing the kids excitement.  It was all of their first times to do it.  Zoee was kicking our booty for a long time.

 We went and hung out at our house afterwards...Lillian was riding around in Zoee's old car.  Cute

 We met Amy and Mason at the 4th of July parade that morning and then Jillery surprised us by showing up. We had a great time, had a great spot at the beginning of the parade, and even though it was really short..the kids had a blast!

Fireworks on the 4th

 We went and watched the fireworks in our city at the Fire Dept. We had a perfect lil' spot.  Wasn't crowded and perfect view.  I love spending time with my lil' family and July 4th has always been wonderful time to do that!  Celebrating our freedom and independence is wonderful!  I'm so glad we live in the U.S.A!
