Zoee wanted to be in the Little Miss Permian Basin Pageant. So we entered. We showed up and it was sooo hot in the tent and Zoee gets cranky and sweaty when she's hot. I knew it wasn't going to go very well. But I was so shocked when they finally called her age group and she walked back there all by herself and was called first up on stage. She came out and strutted her stuff up and down that stage..smiled big, posed, looked at the whole crowd and more importantly all the judges in the eye. We were sooo proud of her. She stopped at the back and the emcee asked her if she knew how to say the Pledge of Allegiance. She put her lil' hand over her heart and said it into the microphone without hesitation big, loud, and proud.
She competed against 10 girls..mostly veterans and guess what?? She won Runner Up! :)
We were some really really happy parents and she was so proud of herself. That's what I loved the most. She loved her 2nd place red ribbon.
